Bengali dessert are famous worldwide. it's not just about sondesh and the rasgulla but it has a lot more to it and which are equally blissful.


A perfect Western twist to an Indian desert. I love individual  deserts some of my favourite dessert. I made this kheer or kamlalebu kheer, one of the unique milk best dessert from India cuisines, subtly flavoured with saffron and orange .but today I made it with little twist. so read this recipe order ingredients and try this amazing recipe this weekend.


Ingredients:-


• 1 litres full fat milk

• 1/4 cup chenna

• 1/4 cup milk powder

• 1/2 cup sugar (or as per teste)

• orange segments and juice of 4 to 5 fresh large

• 10-12 sliced pistachios

• 2 g saffron

• cottage cheese (mashed)


How to make Orange kheer komola:-

• in a heavy bottomed  pan boil milk with  saffron , over medium flame, till it reduced by half. keep stirring in between.

• add mashed  fresh cottage cheese and milk powder and  mix well, and Simmer for 5- 8 minutes. then add sugar and Simmer full sugar melts.

• turn off the heat and let the milk cool completely to room temperature and chilled it.

• add the orange segments and 1/2 cup fresh orange juice mix well and again chilled for 2-3 hour so that the flavour of orange infuses the keer.

• serve chilled bi garnishing with saffron and sliced pistachios just before serving.
