Ingredients for Methi ke Gatte :-

•  Gramflour– 1 cup

• Turmeric powder – ¼ + ¼ TSP

• Coriander seeds powder – ½ + 2 TSP

• Cumin seeds – ½ TSP + 1 TSP

• Ajwain – ½ TSP

• Red Chilli powder – ½ + 1 TSP

• Salt – ½ + ½ TSP

• Edible Oil – 2 + 2 table spoon

• Fenugreek leaves – 1 bunch

• Black Mustard seeds – 1 TSP

• Asafoetida – ¼ TSP

• Green Chilli – 2, chopped

•  Ginger– ½ inch

• Curry leaf – 10 to 15 leaves

•  Onion(big size) – 1, chopped

•  Garam Masala – ½ TSP

• Amchur powder – 1 TSP

• Coriander leaves (chopped)


Ingredients for  Tikkad :-

• Wheat flour – 1 cup

• Gram Flour – ½ cup

• Corn Atta – ½ cup

• Salt – ¼ TSP

•  DesiGhee – 2 table spoon

• Coriander leaves (chopped)


How to make methi ke gatte:-


•First of all, add a cup of besan, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin seeds, celery red chili powder salt in it.  Add 2 tablespoons of oil and mix them all well and then knead the soft dough with lukewarm water.

• After that break the small gola and make it into a shape of a gatta.

• Turn on the gas, keep a pan, water will keep heating in it.  Let the water come to a boil.  Then put that gatte in it.  Cook it on medium heat for 10 minutes.  Take it out and cut it as per your choice when it gets cold.

•Then finely chop the fenugreek in a bowl.  Then pour oil in a pan.  Put gatta in it and fry it.  Take out the gatte for 10 minute on medium low,( remember that you have to add a little oil.  Fry all the gatte in the same)

•Heat the oil in the same pan.  Add mustard seeds, asafoetida, garlic, green chilli and curry leaves.  Add the onion and cook until it turns light brown.  Then add chopped fenugreek.  Let it be for 10 minutes.  Then add turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, coriander, a little water to it.  Add half a teaspoon of garam, masala, half a teaspoon of amchur powder.  As soon as the oil started coming out, the pits which we have kept fry.  Add half cup of water and cook it.

•After 10 minutes, turn the key off.

• garnishing with coriander leaves.

How to make Tikkad:-

•Take a bowl, add a cup of wheat flour, half cup gram flour, half cup maize flour, salt, two tablespoons of ghee and add a quarter of water and knead the dough, the dough should be semi-soft.  Cover the dough and keep it for 15 minutes.

• pinch a ball sized dough.  gently roll to oval shape using a rolling pin.

•Put the coriander leaves and gently roll to oval sape using a rolling pin.

•Heat a tawa on medium flame and then transfer the tikkad on the tawa.  Once you see tiny bubbles on top, flip the tikkad and cook it from other side too.

•  Add a spoonful of ghee on the tikkad and spread it evenly.  Gently press with the help of a spatula and cook till it gets a light golden color on each sides.

• Besan Gatta and Tikkad is ready to be served.
